Managing our Energy
This fleet management platform has been installed in all Lindenmeyr Munroe trucks to help manage route planning. The software takes into consideration speed limits, rush hour, and historical traffic to help reduce miles and engine idling so we can maximize the efficiency of our trucks.
Lindenmeyr Munroe was the first paper distributor to join SmartWay, a program developed by the EPA to benchmark, monitor and improve the environmental performance of freight. As a partner, Lindenmeyr Munroe is equipped with the tools, guidance, and resources so we can manage the environmental footprint of our fleet of trucks.
As a part of our energy efficiency initiative, Lindenmeyr Munroe has installed motion activated lighting throughout our warehouses and offices. The sensors have proven to be helpful in reducing our overall electricity consumption by as much as 40%, especially in areas with irregular usage.
